The Health Administration of England has recommended taking Vitamin D daily in spring and summer while quarantine lasts, the BBC said. The authorities of Scotland and Wales have issued the same recommendations.
“Unfortunately, as coronavirus continues to effect on our lives, many of us spend very little time in the open. Nowadays, it is very important to comply with all the recommendations of the government and stay at home, but at the same time, many of us do not get enough sun. This means we should ensure that there will not be a lack of Vitamin D in the body”, the edition of Sara Stanner from the British Nutrition Foundation said.
Spanish and French doctors are currently performing clinical trials to determine if Vitamin D helps patients with coronavirus infections.
The company Lamyra has developed and manufactured the drug product DEVIT™ 50000, intended for the treatment and prevention of Vitamin D deficiency.
