Properties of components
Multizan® ProBiotic ENT contains probiotic lactobacilli, such as L. acidophilus, L. rhamnosus, L. casei, from the well-studied and widely used health promoting Lactobacillus casei group (LCG) as an active ingredient. Due to long experience in the use of these types of lactobacilli for fermented foods, they are recognized as safe in the EU and USA (QRS status according to EFSA, EU and GRAS status according to FDA, USA).
Lactobacilli (lactic acid bacteria) are one of the main families of probiotic bacteria which actively colonize not only the gastrointestinal tract, but also the oral mucosa, suppressing the invasion and growth of pathogenic microorganisms.
Due to the ability of lactobacilli to colonize the oral cavity, tonsils and adenoids, they create an effective barrier of prolonged action against viral and bacterial infections.
The special L. plantarum in Multizan® ProBiotic ENT’s composition produces more than 10 antibacterial substances against the main pathogenic bacteria of the upper respiratory tract.
The ability of lactobacilli to destroy biofilms in case of chronic bacterial or candidal infections has been proven. Consequently, the use of probiotic lactobacilli increases the effectiveness of the treatment of chronic ENT infections and oral candidiasis.
Lactobacilli increase the level of local immunity factors and have an anti-inflammatory action. Their use relieves the symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
Description
Multizan® ProBiotic ENT is a respiratory probiotic in the form of chewable tablets for the local protection of the upper respiratory tract and oral cavity in the following cases:
- to reduce the symptoms of a cold including a runny nose and nasal congestion;
- to reduce susceptibility to cold-related diseases and respiratory allergy;
- to improve the effectiveness of the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the ENT organs (rhinosinusitis, adenoiditis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis);
- to reduce the risk of the exacerbations of chronic inflammatory diseases of the ENT organs;
- to improve the oral mucosa in case of stomatitis caused by yeast.
Route of administration
1 chewable tablet 1-2 time(s) per day during or after meals for adults and children after 3 years.
